I am a former Marine who served two tours in Iraq with 1st LAR. Just like everyone else, my political and philosophical views have evolved over time. I started out as a young boy mimicking my father in following mainstream republican views. I slowly made my way left after reading books by Noam Chomsky. I saw this great divide among the common people and the elite. I blamed large corporations and their abuses for this. I still believe this is the case, but I believe government protected monopolies, complex and expensive barriers to entry and other measures and regulations preventing real competition are the cause. With that in mind I made another political u-turn and now embrace the Austrian model for government. This is based on sound money, real free market, competition, and limited governement. I owe this new change to the incredibly bright people at the Mises Institute. I am currently in school at Front Range Community College.
